శ్రీ అరొబిందో: సూక్తులు - సుభాషితాలు (21-30)

21. God had opened my eyes; for I saw the nobility of the vulgar, the attractiveness of the repellent, the perfection of the maimed and the beauty of the hideous.

21.  భగవంతుడు నా కళ్లు తెరిపించాడు. నీచమైన దానిలోని ఔన్నత్యం, జుగుప్సాకర విషయాలలో ఆకర్షణీయత, వికార రూపంలో పరిపూర్ణత, అసహ్యకర విషయలలోని సౌందర్యం నాకు దర్శనమయ్యింది.

22. Forgiveness is praised by the Christian and the Vaishnava, but for me, I ask, “What have I to forgive and whom?”

22.  వైష్ణవులు, క్రైస్తవులు క్షమాగుణాన్ని బోధిస్తారు. కాని నన్నడిగితే “ఎవరిని క్షమించాలి, ఏమని క్షమించాలి?’ అంటాను.

23. God struck me with a human hand; shall I say then, “I pardon Thee thy insolence, O God”?

23.  ఒక మానవ హస్తంతో భగవంతుడు నన్ను దండించాడు. “నీ దుడుకు చేష్టని క్షమించానులే ప్రభూ!” అనగలనా?

24. God gave me good in a blow. Shall I say, “I forgive thee, O Almighty One, the harm and the cruelty, but do it not again”?

24. దండించి భగవంతుడు నాకు మేలే చేశాడు. మరి “పరమాత్మా! ఈ దురాగతాన్ని ఈ సారికి క్షమిస్తున్నాను. మళ్లీ ఇట్లా చెయ్యబోకు” అంటానా?

25. When I pine at misfortune and call it evil, or am jealous and disappointed, then I know that there is awake in me again the eternal fool.

25. సంకట స్థితిలో కుములుతూ తలరాత అని శోకించినప్పుడు, అసూయపడినప్పుడు, నిస్పృహ చెందినప్పుడు నాలో ఒక సనాతన మూర్ఖుడు మరలా మేలుకున్నాడని గుర్తిస్తాను.

26. When I see others suffer, I feel that I am unfortunate, but the wisdom that is not mine, sees the good that is coming and approves.

26. ఇతరుల ఆవేదనను చూసి నేనెంత దురదృష్టవంతుడిని అనుకున్నాను. కాని నాది కాని ఓ వివేకం రానున మంచిని చూసి ఆమోదించింది.

27. Sir Philip Sidney said of the criminal led out to be hanged, “There, but for the grace of God, goes Sir Philip Sidney.” Wiser, had he said, “There, by the grace of God, goes Sir Philip Sidney.”

27. ఒక ముద్దాయికి ఉరి శిక్ష విధిస్తూ ఒక న్యాయమూర్తి, “దైవానుగ్రహం అనుకూలించని కారణంగా నా తీర్పు ఇలా వుంది” అనాడు. ఎరిగినవాడైతే “దైవానుగ్రం వల్లనే నా తీర్పు ఇలా ఉంది,” అని ఉండేవాడు.

28. God is a great & cruel Torturer because He loves. You do not understand this, because you have not seen & played with Krishna.

28. భగంతుడు గొప్ప హింసాపరుడే, కిరాతకుడే. ఎందుకంటే ఆయనది నిజమైన కరుణ. అది నీకు అర్థం కాలేదంటే నువ్వు కృష్ణుణ్ణి ఎప్పుడూ చూడలేదన్నమాట, ఆయనతో ఎప్పుడూ ఆటలాడలేదన్నమాట.

29. One called Napoleon a tyrant and imperial cut-throat; but I saw God armed striding through Europe

29. నెపోలియన్ ని ఎవరో వట్టి దుర్మార్గుడని, నయవంచక సార్వభౌముడని అన్నారు. నాకైతే అశ్వారూఢుడై యూరప్ ని పాదాక్రాంతం చేసుకుంటున్న భగవంతుడే కనిపించాడు.

30. I have forgotten what vice is and what virtue; I can only see God, His play in the world and His will in humanity.

30. మంచి చెడ్డలని నేను మరచిపోయాను. నా కళ్లకి భగవంతుడు, లోకంలో ఆయన లీల, మానవాళిలో ఆయన సంకల్పం – ఇవే కనిపిస్తాయి.
